Are you looking for a natural way to treat acne and congestion? Tesla high frequency may offer the answer for you.
What is it?
High frequency is an electrical current that creates a healing effect through its thermal production and antiseptic properties. The sinusoidal or alternating current is smooth with a high oscillation (repetitive or vibration) rate. When applied after extractions, the machine creates ozone which causes the germicidal or antiseptic action on the skin that kills propionibacterium - the acne causing bacteria.
Where did it come from?
In the late 1800s, Nikola Tesla developed the first machine for medical purposes. As it was before the modern antibiotics, Tesla used high frequency to treat strep throat, infections and to heal wounds. Fast forward to European salons in the 1970s who began to use these healing benefits for the skin. By 1980, this technology infiltrated the skin industry in North America.
- relieves congestion
- improves germicidal action
- oxygenates and heals the skin
- helps coagulate and heal any open lesions after extraction
- stimulates blood circulation
- increases elimination, absorption, metabolism
- generates warm, relaxing effect on the skin
How it works
One electrode, either glass or metal, is used on the skin during a treatment.
As electricity passes through the electrode which is filled with either neon or argon gas, a visible light emits. Neon gas shows as pink, orange or red while argon gas is blue or violet. When applied to the face over gauze, it creates a spark gap that enhances the efficacy of the germicidal effect. A typical high frequency treatment lasts just a few minutes.
Who should avoid this type of treatment?
People who are currently using AccutaneTM or retinoids (powerful exfoliants), had recent laser resurfacing or chemical peels, have spider veins, open cuts, sores, abrasions or bleeding disorders must be first ok???d by a doctor.
People with the following conditions should completely avoid this treatment:
- high blood pressure
- sinus blockage
- metal implants (includes dental or facial implants like braces, pins, plates)
- body piercings from waist up
