Acupuncture & Fertility

Fertility can be an uphill battle for many people, and seeking treatment can feel exhausting and frustrating. The good news is that even if you think you have tried just about everything, there are still other options to try, including acupuncture.

At City Acupuncture, our patient-centered approach allows our acupuncturists to prescribe personalized care to help support your fertility goals.

Personalized Acupuncture

For most people, difficulty conceiving is a direct result of three common problems: not having sex at the “right” time, misshapen or insufficient sperm, or menstrual issues impacting ovulation. Many people come to acupuncture on the advise of a reproductive endocrinologist as an additional method to support fertility goals.

Traditional Acupuncture Treatments

Unlike traditional fertility treatments or dugs, acupuncture is a patient-centered treatment and each case is treated individually. During you first visit to an acupuncturist, you will have a full evaluation and the acupuncturist will decide on a course of treatment that is most appropriate for you and your situation. If a sperm issue has been identified, your acupuncturist will review existing tests results and decide if acupuncture and/or herbal medicine is a good treatment option. If the problem is with ovulation, acupuncture and/or herbal medicine can be used to regulate the menstrual cycle and restore ovulation, allowing you to get pregnant naturally.

Acupuncture Treatments for IVF or IUI

If you are looking for acupuncture in conjunction with IVF or IUI, your acupuncture treatment will focus on calming the body, improving circulation, and maximizing the chances of implantation. This has been clinically proven to increase the success of IVF and IUI.

IS ACUPUNCTURE RIGHT FOR YOU?

Understanding your fertility goals and challenges is critical to helping you achieve your goal of becoming pregnant. If you’re considering acupuncture as a treatment to support your fertility goals, we encourage you to meet with one of our board certified acupuncturists to discuss your needs and goals. If you’re a new client, we offer a special offer for your first initial consultation. During this first session, your acupuncturist will discuss treatment options and prescribe a treatment plan best suited for your situation.
